COVID19 CHANGES THINGS

By Robert Claridge

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” -Henry Ford

Hello everyone,

We hope you are all holding together despite the fear and confusion of current times.

For us, it is a time of deep reflection and clarity. When everything is stripped back and taken away, there are some things that always deliver a sense of balance.

Getting outside in nature, learning something new, eating a healthy meal, keeping fit, enjoying your favourite hobby and, particularly, connecting with family and friends.

We hope that you can all see that these opportunities still exist despite the current storm. As with all storms, they eventually pass. Thankfully, unlike the weather, we do have some control over this one.

As you know, COVID19 is driven by a virus. A tiny strand of protein that can only survive and replicate due to the hospitality of its host. This coronavirus, like most viruses, doesn’t live for very long. However, it does perpetuate easily via airborne transfer to its next host. For some, it leaves a devastating effect. For others, it simply lowers their reserves. With each transfer, it must adapt to its new environment. The more transfers, the more potential adaptions. Therefore, it might start in one form and progressively become another version of its original self.

And so, we have the problem! If we keep giving it new hosts, we can get potential mutation and devastation! Therefore, our key strategy must be to stop its transfer. However, to achieve this, it will require everyone to be involved.

Currently, we have been presented with the option to either work together for a common goal or be fractured and extend the problem.

We believe in working together.

We urge everyone to respect and embrace the physical distancing rules and minimise their physical contact with others. To balance the equation, we urge everyone to increase their communication via every non-physical avenue available.

With all of this said, we have made the decision to move to solely phone and online communications as 5pm on Friday 27th of March. We are confident that despite this new format, we will still be able to coach, advise, prescribe, support and motivate you as we have always done.

We have not made this decision lightly. However, we have always held the value of only giving advice we ourselves are willing to take. We know that if everyone unites in a similar way, we can work towards flattening the curve.

Despite all these changes, life continues-on with all of its usual challenges. Digestive complaints, cancer, autoimmune disease and chronic illness does not pause for COVID19. Please know that we are still here to provide supportive solutions to these, albeit via a different process.

However, we also realise that financial stress has now also become viral.

So, for this reason, we would like to offer our Claridge Naturopathics clients free access to our Relief Care service. Relief Care involves a 15-minute phone consultation with our Support Naturopath Marnie Macklin. This free service is here to support you. If would like to learn more, please give us a call on 5221 8220.

At this point, it is paramount that we acknowledge the amazing team that helps define who we are. Without them, there is no way we could have any hope of travelling through this tempest. Thank you to Emma, Marnie, Stacey, Airlie, Dannielle, Fiona, Isabelle, Lachlan, Holly, Abby and Sophie.

Please stay calm, focused and connected and know, as always, we are here to help you.

With love,

Rob and Rose Claridge

P.S. We will be continuing to update you on our process with supporting you through our new format. More information will be released in the coming days. Until then, take care!
