To our valued friends and clients,
After more than forty years of caring for the health and well-being of the Geelong community, we would like to share some important and exciting news about the future of Claridge Naturopathics.
From 1 July 2026, ownership of the clinic will pass to long-standing team member Matthew Burrell and his wife, Bianca.
While this marks the beginning of a new chapter, what matters most to us is that the values, philosophy, and standard of care that have guided Claridge Naturopathics for more than four decades will continue well into the future.
As we reflect on this decision, we find ourselves filled with gratitude.
For more than forty years, it has been our privilege to walk alongside individuals and families through some of life’s most significant moments. Together, we have celebrated recoveries, navigated challenges, welcomed new beginnings, and witnessed remarkable transformations. We have watched children grow into adults and, in many cases, have had the honour of caring for several generations of the same family.
The trust you have placed in us, the stories you have shared, and the relationships we have built have been among the greatest gifts of our professional and personal lives. For that, we will always be deeply grateful.
In many ways, we have grown up together.
While we have had the privilege of supporting your health journeys, you have also shared in ours. Many of you have watched our children grow from youngsters into adults. You have celebrated milestones alongside us and offered friendship, encouragement, and kindness that have meant far more than words can adequately express.
What began as practitioner–client relationships often evolved into something much deeper: a genuine sense of connection, community, and mutual respect. The trust you have shown us over the years has been one of the greatest honours of our lives, and the friendships formed along the way will remain among our most treasured memories.
Claridge Naturopathics has never simply been a business to us. It has been a community built on relationships, trust, learning, and a shared commitment to helping people live healthier, fuller lives. The clinic has shaped our lives every bit as much as we hope it has positively influenced yours.
As we began considering the future, one question remained at the centre of every conversation:
“Who will continue to care for our clients with the same dedication, integrity, and commitment that have always guided this practice?”
For us, the answer became clear.
Matthew has been an integral part of our team for many years and has earned the trust and respect of both clients and colleagues through his clinical expertise, compassion, and unwavering commitment to helping people achieve meaningful health outcomes. He embodies the qualities that have always been at the heart of Claridge Naturopathics: listening carefully, treating the whole person, pursuing lifelong learning, and empowering people to better understand their health.
Many of you already know Matt through your own consultations and experiences within the clinic. You will know his calm presence, thoughtful approach, and genuine care for the people he supports. We have had the privilege of watching him grow as both a practitioner and a leader, and we have complete confidence in his ability to guide Claridge Naturopathics into its next chapter.
Alongside Matt, Bianca brings extensive experience in business administration, client care, and the natural health profession. As a qualified Applied Kinesiologist, she understands both the practical and human aspects of creating a supportive healthcare experience. Together, they bring the energy, vision, and commitment needed to ensure the clinic continues to flourish for many years to come.
Most importantly, clients can feel reassured that the heart and soul of Claridge Naturopathics will remain unchanged.
The philosophy, the team, the commitment to holistic healthcare, and the focus on helping people achieve lasting health outcomes will continue. This transition has been carefully planned to ensure the clinic remains a place where people feel heard, supported, educated, and genuinely cared for.
For us personally, this transition brings a mixture of emotions. There is excitement for what lies ahead, pride in what has been built, and deep gratitude for the countless people who have been part of this journey.
We are not saying goodbye.
Rob will continue consulting within the clinic, allowing him to focus more deeply on the clinical work, learning, and teaching that he loves. Rose is also looking forward to expanding her work as a Trauma-Informed Cancer Counsellor while remaining closely connected to the clinic community that has meant so much to us both.
As we look ahead, we feel incredibly fortunate to know that Claridge Naturopathics is moving into capable and caring hands. There is something profoundly reassuring in knowing that the values, relationships, and commitment to excellence that have shaped the clinic for all these years will continue to thrive.
And perhaps that is the real measure of any life’s work—not that it ends, but that it continues.
